Widex Evoke Features
Since the Evoke platform is not available yet, the full details are not known. The expected launch date of the Evoke is May 21st, 2018. HearStore is currently taking pre-orders for Evoke products. A few of the features that have been announced by Widex so far:
2.4 Ghz Technology
Evoke hearing devices utilize the latest in wireless connectivity to expand the sound processing capabilities.
Machine Learning
These hearing instruments learn patient preferences over time using SoundSense Learn, which allows users to optimize their hearing experience in certain sound environments. Users use the SoundSense Learn application to compare sound profiles in real-time. When they compare and choose their preferences, the hearing aids begin to learn more about the patient's real-world hearing preferences. In conjunction with SoundSense Adapt, these hearing aids also remember the preferences of the user.
Fluid Sound Analyzer
The Widex Evoke hearing aids map sounds in the environment and classify them based on the acoustic characteristics. This allows the hearing aid to make smarter processing decisions and can improve the experience in difficult listening environments.
Crowdsourced Hearing Adjustments
Widex's announcement about their new line of hearing products indicates that user preferences will be shared between patients. This is a quote from a recent press release:
“WIDEX EVOKE will forever change what people expect from hearing aids. I firmly believe that WIDEX EVOKE marks the beginning of new era in hearing aid technology – a new way of thinking. It is the first hearing aid that is truly intelligent and grows smarter as you use it. EVOKE not only learns on the level of the individual device but also across the devices in the EVOKE eco-system. The perspectives and the potential are breath-taking: Just imagine an EVOKE user in Paris benefitting from the input of an EVOKE user in Sydney. You can say that WIDEX EVOKE is the world’s first hearing aid that is intelligent today – and even smarter tomorrow”, says Widex President and CEO Jørgen Jensen.
