Frequently Asked Questions About HearStore

How are your prices so incredibly affordable?

We have worked hard to create the best pricing plan for our customers. We have been able to capitalize on high volume in order to lower costs as well as use an 'unbundled' model which gives you choice, by allowing you to determine what level of service is best for you. Finally, having no physical locations allows us to keep our hearing aid prices low.

Can I get local service?

Luckily, 98% of all hearing aids are manufactured by 6 different companies. As a result, most professionals will have fitting software to make adjustments and provide service to your hearing instruments. This allows HearStore to create a team of Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Specialists around the United States that will provide that service for you through our discounted service packages.

Do you sell International?

We currently only sell product within the United States.

Do I need to have a hearing test first?

Should you already have a current Audiogram (less than 6 months old) our partnered provider will happily program the aids to that audiogram. If you haven't already had a test done, our professionals can do a full test for you at the time of your fitting.

Do I need to talk to a doctor first?

If you have any of the following, it will be in your best interest to consult with an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) Doctor prior to ordering hearing aids and being fit:

  • Fluid draining from the ear
  • Pain or inflammation inside the ear
  • Sudden rapid hearing loss
  • Vertigo or balance issues
  • Also, if you have recently had a hearing test and been diagnosed with an Air-Bone Gap, you will need clearance from an ENT before we can fit you with hearing aids.

Do you have a network of approved clinics?

We have a national network of both mobile and stationary Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Specialists that are ready to serve you. To ensure that you are getting the best fit, all HearStore hearing aids come with a local fitting by a licensed hearing healthcare professional. They will make sure fit and sound quality are correct for your lifestyle.

What if I want to exchange?

You are welcome to exchange hearing products within your 45 day return period. If you decide that you would like to try a different model, please contact us and we will be happy to find something that will better suit your needs. If you are upgrading, we will just charge the difference and if you are wanting to downgrade, we will compensate you for the difference.

Can my hearing aids be returned?

The transition into hearing aids sometimes takes time to adjust to all the new sounds you will be hearing. Also, the hearing aids may feel itchy or irritating at first. Give yourself some time to adjust to hearing aids; however, if you feel that the aids are not giving you the benefit you need, please let us know so that we can set up a return plan and give you a full refund.

When is the refund processed after a return?

This will depend on your bank, but you should see the funds back in your bank account within 7-10 business days from when we receive the hearing aids back in our possession.

What is the shipping process?

We will ship your product to the provider nearest you within 48 hours so that you can get it as quickly as possible. During this time, we will help you set up an appointment for delivery.

Do your hearing products carry a warranty?

Yes. Depending on the product, you will have anywhere from 1 year to 3 years. The individual product will list the warranty associated with it on the site.

What if the hearing aids are lost or damaged by the customer?

Most warranties will not cover excessive damage done by the customer; however, there are some manufacturers that will offer a one-time loss or damaged beyond repair clause, which allows the hearing aid to be replaced or remade with minimal costs to you.

Who will deliver my hearing aids?

We work with 2 types of professionals: Audiologists and Board Certified Hearing instrument specialists. Both are licensed to test and fit hearing aids in their respective states. Our specialists have been handpicked for their knowledge and commitment to patient care.

How are my hearing aids adjusted?

The hearing aid will be delivered by a Hearing Professional who will do the initial fitting and programing. If you would like additional local adjustments, you are welcome to purchase a local service plan through HearStore. Otherwise, HearStore can help with remote adjustments from our team of support professionals.
